How to rent

Just pick the numbered bike, you have rented, open the lock, unplug the bike and turn it on, set the height of the saddle to your preference, and enjoy the ride.

Just remember to plug the bike in again when returning the bike. The 5-digit lock should be with you at all times, so that when you leave for a hike you can lock and turn off the bike, so that it will still be there when you get back from the hike. Northern Escapes will not be responsible for any carelessness or negligence.

Route

We recommend taking the road all the way North to Trollanes first. Make your stops along the way, and take the hike to Kallur lighthouse, and the thombstone of James Bond, before riding back to Mikladalur to see the Seal Woman, and maybe for a cup of coffee if possible. The Route includes 4 tunnels. The first one is the longest and hardest, but after about 5-7 minutes, you will be on the other side. The others are between 3 to 5 minutes, and much easier. There can be an encounter with cars in the tunnels, but there is room for going to the side, or just ride to the passing place/lay-by. There you can take a breath and feel the inside of the mountain. All tunnels have emergency stations and have light even though it’s quite dim. If feeling overwhelmed, you can always turn around, and in the matter of seconds you will be out again. Otherwise, there is only one road so it will be impossible to get lost. Just remember that the roads are narrow, so make room for the cars by going all the way to the side when encountering cars. This will not occur very often.
